Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply to the Veylo Systems website, quotes, custom system design, installation, equipment, monitoring and support services.
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and the information and tools on it, and they apply to quotes, proposals and services provided by [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], operating as Veylo Systems (“Veylo”, “we”, “us”).
A signed proposal, work order, installation agreement or monitoring agreement may add to or replace parts of these terms. Where a signed agreement and these terms conflict, the signed agreement controls.
2. Use of this website
You may use this website to learn about our services, build a proposed system and request contact. You agree not to misuse it — no attempts to gain unauthorized access, disrupt the site, scrape it at scale, or submit false information on someone else's behalf.
Accounts created on the site are your responsibility, including keeping credentials confidential.
3. Product and service information
Product descriptions, capabilities, specifications, imagery and pricing on this site are provided for general guidance. Manufacturers change specifications and availability, and site conditions change what is appropriate for a property. Nothing on this website is a promise that a specific device or feature will perform a specific way at your property.
Equipment images are official manufacturer product photography of the platform we install; environmental photography is illustrative and does not depict a specific Veylo installation unless stated.
4. Quotes, estimates and the scheduling deposit
Prices, packages and totals shown on this site — including the system builder — are estimates. A final price is confirmed after a walkthrough of the property, because access, wiring paths, mounting surfaces, distances, connectivity and power all affect the work required.
A $99 one-time scheduling cost applies to get on the schedule for a walkthrough. Monitoring starts at $44.99 per month, and each camera adds $5 per month. Financing options described on the site are provided by third-party lenders or your own bank; approval, amounts and terms are set by the lender, not by Veylo.
Estimates remain open for the period stated on the estimate, or [QUOTE VALIDITY PERIOD] where no period is stated.
5. Custom system design
We design systems around the property rather than forcing a property into a fixed package. A design reflects the information available at the time, including what we observe during the walkthrough and what you tell us about the site and how it is used. If conditions differ from what was described or visible, the design, schedule and price may need to change.
6. Installation services
- Installation dates are scheduled in advance and may shift due to weather, access, supply or emergency service demands.
- You are responsible for providing safe access to the property and to the areas where equipment is installed.
- Mounting equipment may require drilling and fastening into building surfaces; some cosmetic marking is normal and unavoidable.
- Work that requires a licensed trade outside our scope — electrical service changes, structural work, trenching or network build-out — may be quoted separately or referred out.
- Permits, HOA approvals and landlord permissions are your responsibility unless the proposal says otherwise.
7. Equipment availability and substitutions
Equipment is subject to manufacturer availability. If an item becomes unavailable or is discontinued, we may substitute a comparable device of equal or better capability, and we will tell you before doing so where it affects price or function.
8. Third-party products and platforms
Your system relies on third-party hardware, mobile applications, cloud services and networks. Those products are governed by their manufacturers' and providers' own terms, warranties and privacy policies. Veylo does not control third-party firmware updates, app changes, service outages or discontinuation of features, and is not responsible for them.
9. Monitoring services
Where professional monitoring is included, it is provided under a separate monitoring agreement, through [MONITORING PROVIDER], and is subject to that provider's terms, dispatch procedures and service limits. Monitoring fees are billed on the schedule stated in your agreement and continue until cancelled in accordance with it.
Response by police, fire or other agencies is outside our control and subject to their availability, policies and local ordinances, including any false-alarm rules or permit requirements in your jurisdiction.
10. Customer responsibilities
- Arm, disarm and operate the system as instructed, and keep codes and app access limited to people you trust.
- Keep contact and emergency information current with us and with the monitoring provider.
- Test the system periodically and report faults, tampering or offline devices promptly.
- Replace batteries and consumables, and keep cameras and detectors unobstructed and reasonably clean.
- Maintain the internet, network and power services the system depends on.
- Keep any required alarm permit or registration with your local jurisdiction in good standing.
11. Existing-system takeovers and compatibility
Where you already have equipment, we can evaluate whether compatible cameras, panels, sensors, wiring and infrastructure can be retained, modernized or upgraded instead of replaced. Compatibility can only be confirmed by inspection and testing.
Retained equipment is used as-is. We do not warrant devices we did not supply, their remaining service life, or documentation and programming performed by others. If a retained component proves unreliable, we will recommend replacement and quote it separately.
12. Internet, network and power dependencies
Remote viewing, notifications, cloud features, recording and monitoring communications depend on power and on internet or cellular service. Outages, bandwidth limits, carrier coverage, network changes, ISP equipment resets and Wi-Fi interference can interrupt these functions. Battery and cellular backup, where included, extends operation for a limited period only.
13. Limitations of security systems
A security system is a tool that helps deter, detect and document events. It cannot prevent them. No system, camera, detector, alarm or monitoring service eliminates the risk of burglary, theft, vandalism, trespass, fire, smoke, water damage, injury or other loss.
Veylo does not guarantee that a system will prevent loss, that an event will be detected or recorded, that a notification will be delivered, or that any particular response will occur. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate property and liability insurance regardless of the system installed.
14. Warranties
Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty that applies to that product; we will assist with manufacturer warranty claims. Our own workmanship warranty period and coverage is [WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY PERIOD], as stated in your proposal.
Except as expressly stated in writing, services and equipment are provided without other warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Damage from misuse, tampering, modification by others, accident, pests, weather, power events or acts outside our control is not covered.
15. Payment terms
- The $99 scheduling cost is due when the walkthrough is booked and is a one-time charge.
- Equipment and installation amounts are invoiced as set out in your proposal; the balance is due on the terms stated there.
- Recurring monitoring is billed in advance on the cycle stated in your monitoring agreement.
- Late amounts may be subject to the charges and remedies described in your agreement: [LATE PAYMENT TERMS].
- Refund eligibility is described in your proposal or agreement: [REFUND POLICY].
16. Cancellation and rescheduling
Appointments can be rescheduled by contacting the office. Cancellation or rescheduling of a confirmed installation may be subject to notice requirements and charges stated in your agreement: [CANCELLATION TERMS]. Monitoring cancellation follows the terms of the monitoring agreement, including any notice period stated there.
17. Intellectual property
The Veylo name, logo, site design, written content and system-design materials are owned by Veylo or its licensors and may not be copied, republished or used commercially without written permission. Manufacturer names, product names and product photography belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the equipment we install.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veylo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost recordings or business interruption, arising out of the website, the equipment, the services or any system failure.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount stated in your signed agreement, or otherwise to the amounts you paid to Veylo for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Veylo harmless from claims, losses and expenses arising from your misuse of the website or system, your failure to meet the customer responsibilities above, your violation of law or third-party rights, or claims by third parties relating to recording, monitoring or access permissions on your property.
20. Recording and privacy at your property
You are responsible for using cameras, audio recording and access records lawfully at your property, including notice to employees, tenants or household members where required. We can advise on placement, but the decision and the legal obligation remain yours.
21. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by [GOVERNING LAW / STATE], and disputes are resolved in the venue and by the process stated in your signed agreement: [DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND VENUE].
22. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date, and continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised terms. Signed agreements are not changed by an update to this page.
